The mission of the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library, as a volunteer organization, is to support the Library and staff, to enhance the resources and services of the Library, and to enrich our community. We focus our attention on the local and extended community of library patrons and accomplish our mission through collaboration, fundraising, allocation of funds, and sponsorship of programs for the community.
As Friends of the Amesbury Public Library, we believe in: literacy, life-long learning, and the enjoyment of reading. We also believe that the Library is more than bricks, bookshelves, and whispers; it is people, programs and an island of trust. These fundamental beliefs underlie and support our commitment to fulfilling the Mission of the Friends of the Amesbury Public Library.
The Friends of the Library meet every 1st Monday of the month, except for holidays (no meetings held in July & August). All meetings are scheduled for 7pm and are held in the Amesbury Room at the Library.
