Virtual Visits/Reading Time

In this time when many classes are online or socially distancing, the Children’s Librarian would be happy to pop in for a virtual visit! She can read a book, tell a story, or talk about online resources or anything you’d like! Ask her to come visit and we can work out what you want that visit about!

Group Book Clubs

If you have a book club or a class group that needs the same book, we can request multiple titles from other libraries for you! Just let us know the title and how many! Kids/families can come and pick up the books at our curbside pick up here at the Library or you as the teacher can pick them all up!

We are also able to get digital copies of books that can be downloaded by multiple students at one time for free through Overdrive/Libby Please let us know in advance what you will need so that we can access if it is available.

Online Resources

We offer a number of online resources that can be used by your students all for FREE! Visit our “Databases” section on the website.
There are e-books and audiobooks (Tumblebooks and Overdrive), language learning (Mango Languages), reference (Kids Infobits!, Encyclopedia Britannica and Pebble Go!), and downloadable music (Freegal)
Note: Some require library card access

Teacher Book Bags

Teachers and homeschoolers in Amesbury can request a book bag (if you live in Amesbury but teach elsewhere or teach in Amesbury but live elsewhere, you still qualify!). It can be on any topic you need and includes up to 25 books. Bags are checked out for a six week period!

The children’s staff is happy to put together the bag for you, but needs at least a day’s notice to complete a bag. Please email, call, or fill out the form below with your request.

You can email cdombrowski@amesburylibrary.org or call (978-388-8148 x618) to order a bag. Please order a few days before it is needed. If you need it more quickly, please call us directly and we will try to accommodate you.
