Everyone 7th – 12th grade is welcome to take part and get your voice heard!
What is a TAB?
It is a group of library teen volunteers who not only helps the library, but takes an active leadership role in implementing programs, promoting, and advocating for youth services in Amesbury. It’s a way to get your voice heard and to let the library and community know what you and your peers need and want. It involves input from 7 – 12 graders.
What does it involve?
Possible roles that this board could have:
- Plan programs and activities
- Help run programs of interest for teens or for kids
- Advise librarian on collection and room additions
- Advocate and advertise teen activities and space for the library
- Create content for social media
- Others that you come up with!
Virtual meetings or in-person as works for group and librarian
One meeting a month plus any additional planning or programming that you choose All hours will be counted as community volunteering hours
Why Should I join?
- A chance to have real input in what the library offers for teens
- Meet other teens.
- Develop planning and leadership skills
- TAB provides volunteer experience that looks great on job, college, and scholarship applications.
